Student and Early Career Professional Subunit Purpose

The Subunit mission statement and objectives are the same as the NASPS parent society, with the addition of 3 objectives specific to students and early career professionals**. Those objectives are to:

1) promote education, collaboration, and communication about sturgeon and paddlefish among university students and early career professionals;

2) facilitate activities that will allow students and early career professionals to hone professional skills and network within the field of fisheries;

3) support the NASPS parent society through contributions to the website, newsletter, and annual meetings.

 

**Note, early career professionals are considered to be within two years of their terminal degree.
